The human perspective
Cooper is a great, affordable hotel in a convenient area with plenty of nearby restaurants. The 24-hour reception was a huge asset, and the staff were consistently welcoming, helpful, and quick to answer questions. Breakfast was delicious, with eggs, bacon, and pancakes cooked to order. I liked this approach as an alternative to a buffet and felt it helped reduce food waste.
During our stay, the lounge beside reception had the strongest Wi-Fi we found on the property. Board games and cards also made it an easy place to unwind.
The drawback was our street-facing room at the front. Traffic, car alarms, passing voices, and music came through clearly, making it difficult to get the rest I wanted while adjusting to the altitude. If you are sensitive to noise, I would request an interior or rear-facing room and confirm the outlook before booking.
