The human perspective
JW Marriott El Convento Cusco might be one of my favorite hotels to stay in. It is visually stunning, with stonework and a restored convent setting that make the stay feel connected to Cusco. The spa and indoor pool are also worth making time for between excursions.
The hotel’s restaurant, Qespi, is an experience of its own. I had the quinoa-crusted Andean trout, and it was honestly one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in a hotel restaurant.
I would recommend it to couples and travelers who enjoy historic surroundings with the comforts of a larger luxury hotel. It is a premium choice, so I would choose it when you have time to enjoy the property itself.
