The human perspective
I’ve visited Palacio del Inka many times over the years, and what always stands out is how quickly the atmosphere changes once you step inside. You’re in modern day central Cusco, but the stonework, courtyards, and colonial-style interiors make it feel like you’ve been transported back in time in the best way possible. The location is also extremely convenient: tour companies regularly pick up travelers directly from the hotel, and you can easily explore the Historic Center on foot, with restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies nearby. In my experience, this hotel makes the most sense for travelers who care about atmosphere and location. If you want a hotel that feels genuinely connected to Cusco, Palacio del Inka is one of the strongest options in the city.
What stands out about this hotel
Palacio del Inka is best suited to travelers who want a genuinely historic luxury base rather than a modern international hotel. The property occupies a five-century-old mansion directly opposite Qorikancha in Cusco’s Historic Center, while still offering a full-service spa, fitness center, restaurant, bar, room service and airport transfer. With a 9.3/10 Booking.com rating from 525 reviews, its strongest appeal is the combination of location, heritage and full-service wellness facilities.

Palacio del Inka is a strong fit for travelers who want their hotel to feel like part of the whole "luxury Cusco experience" rather than simply a comfortable place to sleep. Things to know
This is a premium heritage stay rather than a value-led choice. Travelers who mainly want the lowest nightly rate or who prefer a contemporary, minimalist hotel may get better value elsewhere. Its biggest advantage is the combination of historic atmosphere and full-service amenities in central Cusco. Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 12:00 PM.
